Existing Homes
The wiring structure in the majority of homes today only support a limited number of telephone and cable connections. With a customized structured wiring network you will be able to maintain multiple simultaneous connections to the internet as well as enjoy the use of telephones and cable TV anywhere in your house.
Existing homes present a unique challenge because you may not be able to have a structured wire outlet placed exactly where you would like it. We will make every effort to place the outlet in the room as close as possible to the desired location depending on the path we can find.
Complete Re-Wire
This will consist of a distribution panel and cable runs from the panel to each
multi-media wall outlet location. When doing a complete re-wire we will carefully
plan where each structured wire network outlet will be placed and make sure the
distribution panel is centrally located.
Partial Re-Wire
Existing homes have limited wiring that usually supports telephone and cable
TV. We recommend installing (2) CAT 5E and (2) RG6 cables for each new structured
wire wall outlet to avoid revisiting these locations to add more cable at a later date.
Lightning Protection
Check out the KAT 7 NETWORKS Protect page for lightning protection. We will install
lightning and surge protect in your existing home. We use APC Protectnet products (a
leader in lightning and surge protection)
Additional locations
No job is too big or too small. If you are in need of a second phone line we will be
happy to install it for you. If you are remodeling your home this is a great time to
add structured wire network outlets to a new addition.
Technical Support
If for any reason you need help after the installation is complete you can call or e-mail
us for technical assistance. A copy of your floor plan will be kept on file
indefinitely so we may better assist you with your questions and future needs.
Guarantee
We test all cables in the structured wire network to guarantee they are functioning
properly and do not exceed the length requirements in accordance with the ANSI
TIA/EIA-570-A "Residential Telecommunications Cabling Standard". We also
perform a TIA Certification test for computer network cables.
